6. Carefully remove the old part, paying attention to all connections.
7. Place the new palmrest in the correct position and screw in the securing screws.
8. Reconnect all ribbons connecting the touchpad and TrackPoint to the motherboard.
9. Reattach the lower cover and screw in the screws.
10. Insert the battery (if it was removed) and reconnect the power supply.
